Session 2011-12

Low Achievers

1. Students are identified along with their areas of weakness.
2. The teachers coach them during the light periods. The time table is made in such a way that the teachers are given light periods in the class/classes they are teaching.
3. Two periods are allotted for remedial teaching.
4. Teachers are to prepare graded worksheets and question papers.
5. Make the teaching - learning process a play.
6. Slow learners are made to sit with the bright students. Rotation technique is used for seating arrangement in class.

Hygiene and Nutrition

1. Weekly checking of personal hygiene of the students.
2. Importance of balanced nutritional food stressed. Children are asked to bring such food for their lunch break.
3. Aqua-guard fitted.
4. Plans underway to get a doctor to address the students.

Spoken English

1. A special teacher for the Primary Section is appointed.
2. Various innovative techniques are used to help students to converse in English.
3. The teacher gives a topic to the class. The students are made to sit in pairs and discuss with each other on the topic given only in English.

School Readiness Programme

1. The students were welcomed with a banner, a speech and well laid fun and fare.
2. We are following the School-Readiness Programme booklet sent by KV NO.2 Coloba.

Designing of the Time Table

1. The Time table is designed giving due importance to games & sports , CCA both class wise and house wise. We have already conducted sports events on the 13th and 15th April 11 both class wise and house wise. A Special PET coach for the primary section is already appointed.

Other Activities

1. Newletter "ANKIT 2" is already published.
2. Children are motivated to write poems and stories of their own and the best one is put up on the display board.
